About Me

Let’s see…. I’m a wife of almost 25 years, mother to four children, homeschooler, photographer, but most importantly a follower of Christ. I wouldn’t be able to do any of the beginning of the list without him. Through the ups and downs of life he is always there guiding me and supporting me.

My husband and I met on a 400 mile bike tour. Sounds crazy, but you do about 50 miles a day from Sunday – Saturday and tent in small towns along the way with 5000 other people doing the same thing. It was a blast and we continued doing the ride for a few years – even with our first born when he was only 6 weeks old one year! We’ve had many adventures and many moves over the years but we are best friends.

We are quickly coming to the empty nest time of parenting (well, I suppose since you never know the future). Our oldest is married and a fireman in the Air Force. He is living the dream and we are proud of where the twists of turns of his life has brought him. Our second son is finishing his auto technicians degree and then will join Teen Missions as a full time missionary.

Next God blessed us with a daughter. She has been fun to watch grow up and reach the goals she sets before her – like graduating at 16 and beginning college full time. She inspires me to keep reaching towards my own goals. I wonder what is next for her! Our last is also a daughter…. keeping us on our toes as she is a ballerina. That is a world that is so different than I’ve ever been a part that I learn new things constantly.

I homeschool all of them…. graduated three, one to go! You can ask me questions about that as writing a summary for this page would take me many more sentences than an about page should have!

Photography came with mothering. I was always taking pictures of them and, since I’m not young, developing so many pictures (and, of course, always getting doubles… why was that a thing?), and slowly started getting asked to take portraits. Thank goodness I got better… bless those first customers! It’s not a full time business but that fits perfectly with our lives.
